COMPREHENSIVE PACKAGE OF SERVICES

The Comprehensive Package of Services
includes all four of the separate packages described below.

THE CAREER DECISION-MAKING PACKAGE

Every parent wants to see their child live a happy and fulfilling life. While there are many factors that affect one’s happiness and sense of fulfillment, it’s likely that one’s career choice will play a significant role in it.

According to experts, the longer a student remains undecided about their academic major/career plans, the greater the likelihood that they will drop out of college or take longer to graduate. So, it is important that they begin exploring careers while still in high school.

The Career Decision-Making Package provides the student an opportunity to use a systematic approach to identifying careers that are aligned to their personal interests, skills and values.

THE COLLEGE LIST PACKAGE

College costs are staggering, application fees alone can cost hundreds of dollars, and visiting college campuses is costly and time-consuming. By identifying colleges that are a “good fit,” families can focus their time and money on exploring colleges that are appropriate and realistic choices for the student.

By taking into account the student’s learning style, academic and extracurricular background and SAT/ACT/Subject Test scores, and by identifying college characteristics that are important to the student (size of the student body, cost, distance from home, campus setting, academic and extracurricular program offerings, availability of financial aid, etc.), the student is provided with a list of colleges to consider.

COLLEGE PLANNING AND ADMISSIONS PACKAGE
FOR JUNIORS

The junior year of high school is a critical one in terms of addressing issues related to college planning and admission. It is the year that students take college admission tests (SAT, ACT, Subject Tests), register for test-prep courses, research colleges, visit college campuses, etc.

This package is designed to ensure that the student and their parent(s) know what they should be doing relative to college choice and admission, and when to do it. They will also gain an understanding of how colleges make admission decisions, how financial aid offices determine the amount of money that parents will be expected to contribute toward their child’s education, and how financial aid is awarded.

COLLEGE PLANNING AND ADMISSIONS PACKAGE
FOR SENIORS

The senior year of high school can be a stressful one for the student and their parent(s), as this is the year that students are responsible for completing college applications, writing essays, obtaining letters of recommendation, submitting transcripts, etc. Parents are busy filling out financial aid forms and addressing issues related to college affordability.

This package is designed to ensure that the student is submitting the appropriate number of college applications, gathering all of the documents that are required of each application, doing an effective job of filling out each application, and meeting application deadlines. Parents are made aware of which financial aid forms are required, where to obtain those forms, and filing deadlines.

Once all admission and financial aid offers have been received by the student, guidance is provided to assist the student in making a good final college choice.

THE HOURLY CONSULTING PACKAGE

This package is tailored to the specific needs of the student and their parent(s). An hourly fee is charged.
